JICA Kansai


JICA Kansai (Japan International Cooperation Agency Kansai International Center)
As one of JICA’s 16 domestic offices carrying out Official Development Assistance (ODA), JICA Kansai accepts technical trainees, recruits JICA volunteers such as Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers and Senior Overseas Volunteers, and conducts grass-roots technical cooperation, development education support, and public relations in the six prefectures of Kansai. On the 1st floor is the JICA Plaza Kansai, which consists of the public information display room, library, cafeteria and lobby.

Disaster Reduction Learning Center (DRLC)
Cooperating with various disaster risk reduction institutions in HAT Kobe, DRLC takes on the work of efficient human resources development for those who take part in disaster risk reduction activities in developing countries by coordinating and operating JICA’s disaster-related training, creating human networks, developing resource utilization databases, and conducting investigation and research.
