HEMC (Hyogo Emergency Medical Center)/Japanese Red Cross Kobe Hospital


 Hyogo Emergency Medical Center (HEMC)
Serves as a core disaster medical hospital that can cope with large-scale disasters. In case of a disaster, HEMC collects and provides information on damages and patient-acceptance information of medical facilities as an emergency medical treatment information command center. Usually it offers medical care as an advanced emergency medical center. It also stockpiles pharmaceuticals for use during disasters, and is engaged in research and trainings of disaster medical care.

In order to carry out prompt and effective relief work during disasters, the institution provides core facility functions for disaster relief, and supporting functions for HEMC. It also contributes to regional medical care, providing highly-specialized treatment.
